Halloween Weekend-The Endless party Weekend
Halloween, a time for students to drink more than usual and an excuse to wear the worst costume possible. This is usually to grab the attention of someone at the club, blasting spooky scary skeletons multiple times, everyone being unable to realise the song has repeated. It certainly didn’t help being the most sober person in a sea of drunken children as they ran around haphazardly causing chaos along the corridor.
I experienced this at the beginning of the weekend, on the Friday where mine and Owen’s peaceful fry-up was interrupted with the face of a drunken beast at the window of our kitchen. They were smiling wide eyed knocking sluggishly and awkwardly at the door. We let this person in, Betrys, who is known for being one of the funniest drunks on our floor and is extremely loud whilst in this state. The evening continued on and Betrys was silent for a while, until she broke it with a blood curdling scream and a shocked expression, which could only be described as true horror. Her eyes focused on the Thomas The Tank Engine keychain which had snapped off her wallet and fallen onto the floor of our kitchen.
You can see what I meant by drunken children right?
This theme of continuous drunken ridiculousness continued throughout the weekend, this includes another one of my flat mates called Josh, who was so drunk he started hugging me multiple times and saying i was one of greatest people he knows. That’s how you can tell that he truly was drunk. It didn’t really help that the entire scale of events escalated as more people started piling into the hallways, playing music so loudly that the security guards started monitoring the building.
Like I said, Halloween for students is a time to let loose and have some fun, but it wasn’t the funnest experience I ever had. sleep did not come easily with the wave of drunken noise continuously outside my door. Just the life of a student.
Comment down below, tell me some stories of your Halloween experiences throughout the years, because this one has been hilarious and a brilliant new experience for me.
